Players who can be replaced with Suarez

With Luis Suarez having turned 31 last month, FC Barcelona could already be looking for his possible replacement. Here are eight forwards who could eventually replace the Uruguayan at the Camp Nou.

Despite being in good goalscoring form this season, Suarez has shown signs that age is starting to catch up to him, something Barca's board could be concerned about.

The striker began the campaign in poor touch, and was even criticised by some for being overweight, but has since rediscovered his scoring instincts despite not being as sharp as he was last season.

Thus, many forwards have been on the club's transfer wish list in recent months, with the Catalan giants believed to be after a permanent replacement for the former Liverpool man.

According to the Daily Metro, Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann could be that player, although he could come in while Suarez is still at the club. The Frenchman has been heavily linked with the Blaugrana in recent months, and some reports have even suggested the club are saving the No. 7 jersey for him.

RB Leipzig and Germany international Timo Werner has also been spoken of as a future Barca star, along with Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala, who kicked off this campaign in red-hot form.

In 2017, talkSPORT suggested that Torino's Andrea Belotti may be looked at, while Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi has also been mentioned, although the player did once admit that the reason he left the Spanish giants' junior ranks when he was younger was that he felt the club's style of football did not suit him.

The Daily Mail have reported the club's interest in Manchester United's Anthony Martial, while Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus could also apparently be an option.

Valencia's Santi Mina, 22, may also be in with a shout, although the club is likely to want to sign someone of a higher profile.
