Spanish giants FC Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with a Brazilian club for a player considered to be one of the best young talents in the South American country.
According to UOL Esporte, the Catalan club and Gremio have agreed terms on a transfer for 21-year-old midfielder Arthur.
The player, regarded as one of the country's brightest prospects, has also previously been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea.
It is believed that the Blaugrana will pay €30 million (R434 million) up front for the player, with €10 million (R144 million) in bonuses to be paid at a later stage.
It has been claimed the two teams have agreed that Arthur will only join the Spanish giants in January 2019.
The midfielder has represented his country at U17 and at U20 level, and has also received a call-up for the Selecao's senior side, although he did not play.
Arthur has made 40 appearances for Gremio's first team so far, and has been most effective in a deep-lying playmaker role.
